Being "nice" and "civil" clearly hasn't worked. There are two parts
to this problem -- the guy who buys a radio with clicks and the
company who sells it.
These radios are clearly defective. Send them back as defective and
tell Yaseu to fix them at no charge. If everyone who had this
problem would do this, Yaseu would get the message. And if Yaseu
refuses, tell everyone you know to stay away from Yaseu products.
Second, when you encounter a radio with bad clicks on the air, TELL
THE OPERATOR HE HAS CLICKS AND DO NOT WORK HIM! Do it in the middle
of a contest, where it affects him. Put the pressure on the owner to
fix it.
There are good alternatives to these radios. Buy the alternatives!
Steer other hams away from Yaseu, and talk about their attitude on
the air. Tell the ham vendors you aren't buying Yaseu, and why.
