I have one of the older HyTowers that has a fixed, rather than tilting,
base.
Hurricane IKE pushed it over and broke one of the base insulators, and
also bent and distorted one of the base pieces that interfaces the
insulator
to the ground mounting post. ( I have already obtained new insulators
from HyGain)
If there is anyone that has an extra piece like this that they no longer
need,
I would appreciate it if you would email me.
Alternatively, if there is anyone that has experienced this problem and
has
made their own replacement, I'd like to hear from you as well.
I'd like to get it rebuilt and out of the tree it came to rest in and
put it to
good use again on 160m/80m !
