This method can work. But if one element is off, (due to a bad ground connection or other), the good element is pulled down to that level. The user may never know he is settling for 2nd best. I will make this my last comment. 73 Bruce-K1FZ Rather than gong to that trouble, simply tune for maximum front to back ratio.
