Works OK for me as well! Although mine needs 1600pF and I use little ceramic 
capacitors rated at 6.3KV, which are readily available from CPC/Farnell at 
about 10p each.

<<All what work at the antenna? Just add a 2400 pF shunt capacitor
and adjust the length of the antenna for resonance? Works perfectly
on my vertical.
