| Solid copper wire is easily damaged by movement and vibrations as anyone who
has dealt with marine, automotive, aeronautic, machinery, and several other
applications would know.
The 7 strand #14 hard drawn copper antenna wire going back 100+ years is an
example that this is nothing new.

Subject: Topband: Delta Loop ( 160M list )
Hardy, you said:
"I eventually had to make it with #10 copper wire as even #12 would break in
the 70 mph winds we get here."
Are you talking about solid copper? I am considering making a delta loop
(540ft total) using copperweld. I was planning on feeding it at the bottom
with 600 ohm open wire. ( and homebrew balanced tuner )
