After a pretty thorough check on the ailing 160M section this what I have in mind and would appreciate any further suggestions. All previous owner wiring is ok. One missing connection is 10M mod. 160M Padding cap (170pf, 7500V doorknob) is shot. Band switch appears to be still usable, no damage to contacts etc. Idea now is to replace the cap (with "corona washer") or good mica cap, new style parasitic suppressor, new (al-80a) plate choke and give it a whirl.
