island. Notice the scroll arrow on the right below the photos to get
more photos.
Weather map of conditions on Heard Island. After looking at that, close
the pane on the right and zoom out to see all those perpetual storms
that exist in the 50 degrees south latitude area around Antarctica.
It's just a matter of time before you get hit at that latitude.

From their website: They now have the 80 meter vertical up but failed
to get the 160 antenna up this morning because of high winds. (No
wonder! Check that weather map link above.)
And of course, Google Earth has good aerial views of all the rare DX
locations active right now.
