Gd' day to all,
Several of us were sitting around drinking coffee and the discussion came
around to phased verticals. We then had a disagreement on how to feed them. So
here is the question:
You have room to put up a pair of 1/4 wl verticals, spaced 1/2 wl apart. You
want to feed them 180 degrees out. One group said use the correct length of
coax on one feed to achieve the reversal. Another said just use a network of
some kind. The last group said just feed them with equal lengths of coax, but
reverse the feed to one vertical ie: center conductor to radial system, shield
to vertical element.
So, at the risk of opening Pandora's box of worms, and not wanting to invoke
tower "wenches" or plastic owls, what say you all?
Tnx in advance and 73 from
Jake K9WN
