Earlier this summer I recounted an
experience with ants making their nest
inside the capped PVC sections I have my
HI-Z Rx modules located in. They had laid
their eggs completely across the top of
the Rx amp, covering the terminals.

Once removing the issue, I sprayed 10%
permethryn inside the PVC and around it.
This, when dried out is not a problem for
humans but will kill insects on the lawn
up to 4 months.

This is the stuff you spray clothes with &
let dry to wear so it kills ticks you pick
up while outdoors. It's the same chemical
for lawn applications to kill ants, ticks
& the like.

I checked them last week and there is zero
sign of insects inside those choice little
nesting spots I'll be using it every
spring, summer & fall. from now on.
