Bob,
Try just using the good variable in series by itself. Often all you need (no
omega match)73/Jon AA1K

Greeting Topband Group,

I've been shunt feeding my tower for probably the last 20 years.  I've used
a 1000PF vacuum variable and a second vacuum variable for a omega match
configuration.

Last week, I added a 2 EL 40 meter yagi to the tower and removed an OptiBeam
30/40 rotary dipole.  Of course, with the additional top loading, the match
is out of wack.  When I attempted to adjust the series capacitor, it appears
to be frozen and won't move.  Any thoughts on how to possibly fix the CAP or
does anyone have a 1000PF vacuum variable available for sale.  I'd sure like
to get this resolved quickly.  73, and thanks in advance for your input.
