First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who have shared their experience and
knowledge over the past couple of months with me and others. After what seems
like an eternity, my 45G is up and supporting my TH6 at about 55'. Especially
like to thank KS9W and AA9LX who gave up a whole Saturday to finish it off!

Now, another question for the collected wisdom of this reflector:

My TH6 was rebuilt, piece by piece, this past summer. All plastic parts new
from Hy-Gain. All stainless steel hardware. Each measurement performed 3
times. Anti-oxidant grease used liberally throughout. All in all, I did
everything that I could think of in rebuilding this antenna to "like new" cndx.
Element-to-boom brackets are pinned thru boom with 1/4" bolts. I did not take
apart the traps, only replaced the caps.

For a balun, I am using a homebrew coaxial choke. 6 turns RG213 wound on a 4"
pvc pipe form.

Dimensions are for CW part of band.

Checking with MFJ259 after placement on top of tower shows that 20m vswr min
about 14.100 MHz. 15m vswr min about 21.500 MHz. 10m vswr somewhere in cw
part
of band. All three bands show a reasonable vswr "dip" as freq is swept thru
bands.

Any ideas why 15m vswr min so high in freq? Bad trap(s)? Bad choke balun?

Appreciate, as usual, any and all comments/ideas/etc. on this problem.

73,
Charlie KD5PJ/9 ocker@chasind.com
