Hi Guys,
        This is just to show a difference between the MFJ and the Autek. 

        To make 1/4wl open stub with the RF-1 you connect the stub, monitor Z
while tuning until a minimum is found. The cable is now an odd multiple of
1/4 wavelengths long at that frequency (and it would be best if the multiple
is "1" <g>). Calculate the amount of cable to remove to move this minimum to 
the frequency of interest, take off all that you dare, repeat the process 
until done. No dummy load, T connector or extra cable needed.
