This reminds me of a French teacher I had in high school. Believe she
was from Georgia, too. When she was teaching pronouns:
She said - Tu means "you" and Vous means "y'all." (Tu is the singular
you, and vous is the plural/formal you).
As a northerner, got a real kick out of that...
