The following is a solution to moles and gophers from a very
reliable Oregon source. I have not seen it actually work, but
have been told it WORKS thoroughly and fast!

Other posts here have discussed the so-called clackers, devices
that contain wings or some-such which twirl around and make a
clattering noise. Supposedly this low frequency noise is the
contribution that drives moles and gophers away.

My 'friend' expanded on this, obtained an old HP-200CD audio
generator, fed that output into an old tube-type audio amplifier,
and the fed the audio amplifier output into a large outdoor-type
speaker. He ostensibly ran about 50 watts of audio to the large
        speaker.

The speaker was then put in a box, and in turn placed on the
ground where the moles & gophers were. A good connection of the
speaker's output audio to the ground is desirable. The audio
signal generator was set to about 20 Hz, and VOILA....the little
pests ran over to the neighbors field, within a day.

Ostensibly, the more power one runs into the large speaker, the
further away the moles go. Also, there may be a better frequency
than 20 Hz. This of course may be fodder for some PhD dissertation
for some guy who can then call himself Doctor on the reflectors
        too.

It's gotta be worth a try!!
