I would have thought the basis for using a 5 ft base section would be driven
by desired height of tower. If one wished to save money, full sections can be
deleted and save twice the cost of a base section.
By the way, for anyone interested, Rohn 25G, 45G and 55G base sections will
all ship UPS so no problem getting replacements delivered at low cost.
