Getting RF out of stereos is usually easier than getting it out of TV's.
I have found, through experience in my own home and others, that a great deal
of the
interference in speakers systems for stereos can be reduced or eliminated by
placing
an AC filter in the AC to the receiver. But even more effective is using
shielded
speaker leads to the speakers and ground the shields at the stereo. Bypass
caps also help as do wrapping the speaker leads at the speakers around a
torroid.
I used to live near a broadcast station (both AM and FM) and found that I
could
get rid of 100% of the RF into the system by using the AC line
filter/shielded
lead solution. I know that the .01 caps and the torroids help in more
extreme
situations. Also suggest that with cheap systems its even more difficult
but this
doesnt sound like a inexpensive system.
Oh yes....................
One more thing: some good intending folks wrote me on my advice on
telephone
interference, recently, pointing out that you shouldnt try to install the
parts yourself or even buy them. They may have a point when it comes to
liability but I think
I would go the risk and do it for your neighbor as most of them will never
get the
stuff installed unless you do it. I have taken the risk and have won.

My next store neighbor says Im coming through on one of His three
speakers
when it is on and its always on....I havnt seen His setup but He
explained
that He has three speakers, two woofers and one other what ever it
might
be....Well Im not coming through on the two woofers but I come through
on
the third one only....What can I try to stop this ! Tnxs for
