Gang,

I have heard that certain CATV hardlines are better than others for
HF use on ham bands. It had something to do with if the hardline was
made of copper or aluminum. I have never seen any copper CATV line,
but have seen a ton of the aluminum stuff given away to anyone that
asks for it. The thoughts presented had something to do with high
resistance to the RF even at HF frequencies of the aluminum.

Is threre any evidence of this from your collective experience? If
so, how do I go about determining what CATV hardline is good for HF
use and which ones are not?

Thanks in advance for your help!
