Bill (et al),
I forget now where I saw it, but a local ham 'fixed' his brake button such that
he could not release the brake before releasing the left/right buttons. He
drilled and countersunk a hole for a screw in the brake button, and attached
a piece of steel metal strip 2" x 0.75". He can now press the brake and left
or right buttons without worrying about the brake button being released
before the left or right buttons.

The icing on the cake to protect the rotor/array is the addition of a brake
delay device to prevent the brake being set too soon after the left/right
button is released.
