What brake release? I was not aware that the CD45 had a brake.
You may have a cracked ring gear. HyGain has an all steel replacement
ring gear for around $12 to replace the aluminum gear on the earlier/
lower level rotors. This one will never break or crack. The other thing
you need to check are binding of the mast and the phase shift capacitor.
Phase shift capacitors are notorious for drying out (from carrying AC
currents) and do need replacement after a few years. The capacitor
is in the control box.
Orion is gross overkill for an A3S!
