Congratulations on the new home!! Regarding a new tower,
Step 1 :
If you have any Covinents and Restrictions(CCR's), get a copy and read it
carefully. If you just bought your house you should have been given a copy by
either the real state agent or your title company. Otherwise get a copy from
the county Clerk of Records.
Step 2:
Get a copy of applicable city or county ordinances from the appropriate zoning
office and read them.
Step 3: Get to know the neighbors. And, don't mention the plan for an antenna
support structure.

This will give you an idea about how much of a problem you are going to have
and with whom. Also, I would be careful and not cause any TVI or RFI,
regardless of who's fault it is, till your new tower is up.
Depending on the results of the first three steps, you can plan the next
steps. You may also want to search the archives. Their has been a lot posted
on the subject. Good luck!
