I have been actively hamming for over 30 years (whew!) and the only thing
I ever burned up with RF were the two end insulators made of fiberglass
(sold by B&W) on a halved shortened 160 inverted V.  All my baluns,
matching stubs, and coax plugs, etc. survived.  But, then, I never run
more than 1.5 KW out regardless of the QRM or whatever.

Army emerg. group, Life Member ARRL, and nice guy (except in contests!).
