Greetings, I hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday Season.
I finally got to read about the "Half-Square Array for 40 Meters" in the
January 1998 issue of QST. I LIKE it - but the only way I'm going to be
able to hang a wire array is if I can do it with two supports. The two 61
foot telescoping steel masts I'm planning 'could' provide support for two
parallel wires IF I can find lightweight rigid material to use as spreaders
to separate the wires by the required 35 feet. If the material is too
heavy, it will be difficult to engage enough pull to raise it without
exceeding the stress limits of the masts.
This is a very interesting project - I hope it's feasable.
Is this a doable dream? Are there fiberglass or some other materials strong
and rigid enough to withstand the pull and spread the two wires?

"M" is one of the two masts (if the drawing looks the same to you as it does
here). The vertical lines, as well as the angled lines from the mast if
necessary), are the rigid material I need.
