I worked H40AA the other day on 10 meters with beam pointed west, no noise,
and this was in the south with the terrible wx system that came through the
Birmingham area.

BTW, my grounding now is  RG-8 coax with a .01 mfd disc capacitor on each end,
outside to 3 10ft 3/4 inch copper pipes in  ground, about 10 ft apart,
connected with copper grounding strap left over from broadcast transmitter
grounding project.
