Sorry, but virtually any rig operated HF in a surburban or urban location
will RFI neighbors -- usually everything they own from the vibrating bed
to the crowing alarm clock.  I gave up and moved to the forest, but I
really do not know what ham radio is gonna do with RFI as consumer
products are made with little to block RF and there are so darn many of
the gadgets.  I think if I had to live close to non-ham neighbors, I would
have to find another hobby.  In olden days, I got phone calls saying
things like, "I hear your voice via my telephone--AND IT IS HUNG UP!"
and teenagers next door saying, "You are talking thru my speakers."
It drove me nuts (explains a lot, doesn't it?).
This is the dirty little secret of today's ham radio and no real cures in
sight, sigh.  de K4VUD
