Many years ago, before I knew it was impossible, I had occasion to replace
the brushes in a prop pitch motor. I found some somewhere that were too
large but looked like they would work otherwise. The length was good and
the attaching wires seemed OK and about right. I simply filed them down
until they fit nicely. It was pretty easy since they seemed to be made out
of graphite or something soft like that. Worked great.
