I am going to be bolting my tower legs through my asphalt shingled roof.
I am using 2" x 2" x 8" aluminum angle for feet. There will be 2 ea. 1/2
holes in each foot for 1/2 inch threaded rod which will tie to 2 x 6 under
rafters in attic. I plan on using copious amounts of roof tar around all
4 sides of the foot plus some in the hole through the roof. someone
suggested putting some flashing around the feet and using rofing tar on it
also. Is there a better way??
