[K0iL] My apologies to the towertalkers for staying off topic.
This will be my last RFI post. This stuff should be on the RFI
reflector instead. I'm responding to this one because I got so many
msgs saying the same thing.

Pete, I looked at the page and if I got the right article ["FCC
Shifts Amateur Enforcement Duties (September 30, 1998)"], you might be
confused by what they meant by interference. Don't forget that
"interference" can mean QRM also (i.e. intentional ham-to-ham
interference). I'm sure in this case that's what it does mean. I'll
know for sure when they call me back tomorrow with the answer.

The FCC has changed their position on rules enforcement, NOT
RFI. It's because the new FCC head honcho is pushing rules compliance
(for some services, not all) as his legacy. The last guy's lagacy was
auctions. Remember him?

        73,
        de ed -K0iL
