Humm, not familiar with that mode.  Does the AEA RF-1 have such a mode?

Not sure what a "package deal" is.  But I am pruning in parallel with a
perfect load (a Weinchel 50 Ohm load) to minimize the effect of the
T-connected cable...so the dummy load does not "see" the cable.
