After receiving what I consider an outrageous response to my
inquiry to my favorite antenna manufacturer about the
availability and cost of a 2.125" ss U-bolt, two 0.1875" ss Hex
bolts and two 0.1875" ss split washers to replace the same
hardware on my beam (you got it: galled threads!!! Put up BEFORE
the recent "galled threads" thread, unfortunately), I have
decided to look elsewhere to spend my money--$44.85 for a bag of
parts excess to my needs is not what I want to do at this time,
thank you very much.
Does anyone have a line on a good place to purchase the five (I
could do without the washers...I just figure I will drop the
original ones when I break the nuts off the u-bolt.)?
