     Hmm. They're tight fitting enough that you should just have to push them
on. The factory doesn't specify anything different. There's enough friction in
the jacket and cap that they'll stay there.

      That's correct. The spec is for 60 degrees F but the tension is the same
at any point on the guy. 660# is 10% of breaking strength.

       BTW, about a month ago someone sent me an internet address/photo of a
roll of Phillystran that had some sort of crimp connectors on the turnback
termination. I talked to Ken Knight at the factory and he said that these kind
of crimp terminations are mostly used on the bigger Phillystran sizes. They
are called Oval Eight Sleeves. They're like a Nicopress fitting in that it
uses a soft metal sleeve (copper or brass) and a tool to crimp/swage them. As
I recall, the pictured internet Phillystran had two sleeves on the termination
whereas the factory specifies FOUR sleeves. If someone could send me the url
for the picture again, I'd appreciate it. Anyway, using crimp terminations is
fine but getting the crimp tool is the big obstacle for ham use.
