I once installed a full size 40M dipole (wire on BIG bamboo poles)
parallel to the elements on a Mosley 2L Quad (10 - 15 -20).

There was some degradation of F/B on 15M but I considered this
a small price to pay for the added benefit.

Orienting a 40M dipole parallel to a SHORT BOOM that is NOT
end loaded by conductors (metal elements or metal spreaders),
is probably a better solution from the perspective of interaction.

(End loaded booms look like MUCH longer conductors.... a 3L
20M beam or large tribander boom is self resonant very close
to 40M. I gamma match such booms and use them as rotary
dipoles on 30 and 40 meters).
