Sailors (especially riggers) use a teflon-based "lubricant" when using
stainless steel screws to attach fittings to an aluminum mast. It is supposed
to electrically isolate the two dissimilar metals, and thus prevent the
associated electrolytic reaction and results. It works in the worst
conditions - salt water!

The "stuff" is available at West Marine stores, among others.

If anyone is interested in the exact name of the product, I can research it
and get back to you. Contact me at Teddyer@aol.com.
