I run regular 8 conductor cable from the top to the base of my towers,
then connect the motor phase shift capacitor at ground level,
and splice into 2/14 and some light wire for the indicator runs 
to the house which is 400 ft from my furthest tower.

I use the heavy wires for the  BRAKE  SOLENOID,
Motor Left, and Motor Right. 

For GROUND, I hose clamp a wire  to the shield of my CATV hardline,
picking up a "free"  super heavy ground return.
