Someone asked about placing insulators every 10 ft at the
tower end of the guys. ( I can't find the original question.)

This is fine as long as EVERY insulator
is 10 ft from every other insulator.

Translation:

At the TOWER, each insulator must be no more than 5 ft from the tower.

If the first insulators are placed 10 ft from the tower,
you end up with a 15M director right under your beam !
(10 ft of wire + 1 ft across the tower + 10 ft of wire)
