I went & bought the thrust bearing , 2 nos , as per the advice
received. ED W4EP you hit it right on the head , it is exactly what you
described.
I created a temporary web page describing the thrust bearing, I don't
have a digital camera , I used my flat bed scanner to photograph the
thrust bearing.
