I remember them very well indeed!
At one time I worked for Sam. An experience I will never forget.
However, I do not recall them being sold by RS.
They worked FB
There were single band types and a few models that had a shorting mechanism
allowing you to use one coil for
more than one band.
Seemed as if everyone who had a mobile radio used them.
