Rob,
I bought an A4S and add-on kit several years ago. It is on my tower below a
WARC beam and a KLM 40M dipole. I never had any of the troubles you
describe. It has worked fine from the beginning.
I would look for some mechanical or balun troubles before going to all the
changing(in spite of what the factory man said). Most all my troubles over
the years were things other than the gross problem requiring major dimension
changes.
Just my experience and opinion.
