  My automatic antenna tuner, tunes under load, but I understand
SOP (standard operating Procedure) is to let up on the key
whenever changing any (tuner) switch. (like when I switch between antennae)
  If I owned a power amplifier and used a roller inductor tuner,
I expect I would drop to low power before I tuned the inductor
because I would expect (want) the tuner to out live me.
