Several things:

The holes on the large end of the tubes were incorrect. In one case, 90
degrees off.

The welded sleeve, making the large end of the tube, was, in several
cases, welded on crooked.

A few had the end of a tube torn (probably not a shipping issue).

Several braces were badly bent (maybe a shipping issue).

Several brace welds were defective.
