Zoli:

        I have BOTH a ground mounted 4SQ and a 40-2CD at 90 ft. on a
RingRotor for 40 meters. To EU, the 4SQ is ALWAYS 10 to 15 dB DOWN from
the Yagi. To JA Long Path (over Africa) they are the same. The problem is
that on 40 meters, the 4SQ angles are too low. From EU to USA, consider a
pair of wire delta loops, because, by choosing the feed point and height,
you can select the take-off angle you want.
