Has anyone ever tried using an AB-577 "rocket-launcher" mast as a vertical
for 80m, perhaps with a top hat or aluminum stinger at the top? I haven't
looked at one closely enough to see whether the inherent contact between
the sections would be good enough electrically, or if the electrical
connection could be applied during erection. If one could be top-loaded
for 160, it might even be an attractive option, compared to the cost of a
conventional vertical for that band.
