If you are using a Johnson matchbox, turn the controls such that
the blank side is under the pointer. Place markers for different
frequencies and you can avoid having to 'tune' the tuner when you
QSY.
Where space is a problem, the dipole can be made shorter
(down to 100 ft ) or, the ends can be bent horizontally or vertically.
