On Ten Meters at KC1XX, it is reported that during the high angle time, he
uses a monster yagi (8 elements, long boom) at only 30 ft.

Probably because they are using the 2 high stack of 5L20's
at 50 and 100 ft which acts like an even  BIGGER antenna
at 75 ft.  (or other stacks of 48 ft boom beams on 10 / 15)
I expect the 200 ft high 20M beam shows its stuff at 0800Z
when the MUF is ~15-16 MHz to Europe.
