[Towertalk] Helically wound vertical dipoles

Has anyone had any experience (good, bad or ugly) with
helically wound vertical dipoles? Use would be for 40
and/or 75/80 with relatively low power (QRP to 100
watts). Everything I have found relates to base fed
verticals and shortened yagis, and I realize the
fundamentals are similar, but are there any
characteristics or red flags that are peculiar to
vertical dipoles?
