Rohn recommends that the anchors be 80% of the tower height.
SHORT towers can be guyed closer in (like 30 ft for 48 to 68 ft
tiltovers illustrated in older Rohn catalgos).

The mathematical formula is A^2 + B^2 = C^2

An even simpler method is to make a SCALED DRAWING,
say 5 inches high for a 50 ft tower, 4 inches over, and 
MEASURE the proposed GUY.  Multiply this length
by the scale factor (10 ft = 1 inch) and you have your
guy length.
