Hi Bob: All devices which use a remote control to turn them on and off
have an internal IR receiver operating and waiting for the IR from your
remote to turn the rest of the set on. Some of them use a switching PS
which can radiate interference. Usually the line cord and house wiring
act as an antenna to radiate this noise. I would first try a toroid with
the line cord wrapped around it placed near the set cord entrance. Radio
Shack sells a suitable core for this purpose. GL, Dan, N5AR
