I'm not going to argue with David about what kind of antennas are necessary
in New England because I don't know. However, I do have monobanders for 40
through 10. On 40 it's a 4 el, on 20 it's a five el and on 15 and 10 it's 6
els. I have never found the 6 els too narrow on 15 and 10 here in Florida.
I think going to 8 els on those bands might put me over the edge in making it
too narrow. Plus, it sure is hard to get enough room to rotate them when
they are side-mounted down the tower when they are 8 el.
