Hello Wes,
If you are not in a hurry, I'll try to explain how I fixed the problem here
recently.
But I have to prepare the description, as english isn,t my mother tongue.
With a drawing it would be easier, unfortunately its not possible here.
Roughly, I putted my rotor at 5 meter from ground level, the tower is 21
meter. The whole system works as a lift with a counter weight equal the
complete antenna gear weight less the beam who sites on the top of the
tower when jobbing on top. So the climber can lower and lift the antennas
with only one hand.
I have a 5 elements fritzell fb-dx 506 just a couple of inches of top. A 4
meter mast goes out of the tower with a 4 ele 50 Mc/s beam and a vertical on
top for VHF/UHF.
