...sounds like the scam nack in the seventies - someone was selling a
wonder box - the box contained something potted in epoxy or similar -
when x-rayed at the ARRL lab it was found to contain random electrical
components not hooked up to anything...
I am not saying this is what this box is but as always - Caveat Emptor!
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
