Greetings! Anyone one out there uses Hygain's 7-3, I am have mine at 60ft
mounted on a free standing tower. Antenna is tuned at the CW portion of
the band. SWR is great from 7.000-7.030 (1.1:1) and goes up to 1.5 - 2.0:1
from 7.040 - 7.090
Problem is it works like a dipole within these band specs. I am not sure if
guys out there have the same experiences and what were the remedies or
solutions that you did to improve performance.
Options I have is to increase tower height or experiment with element
spacing to get better gain or F/B ? Any suggestions would be much
appreciated.
